Josh Centanni
I'm Josh Centanni, a husband, caregiver, author, and speaker. I never set out to become any of those things through a cancer diagnosis. I simply wanted to be there for my wife and do everything I could to help her through the fight. When the person you love is fighting cancer, you don't stand on the sidelines. You fight with them. I wrote Her Battle Our Fight to share the reality of loving, advocating for, and caring for someone through cancer—and to remind other caregivers that you're not alone. The book is our story, but its message reaches far beyond the two of us. I speak to caregivers, spouses, and families about the realities of caregiving, the weight of being an advocate, and the love and commitment that keep us showing up when someone we love needs us most.

Her Battle Our Fight
Five years after their wedding, Josh and Kadi Centanni thought they understood what “in sickness and in health” meant. Then Kadi was diagnosed with a rare cancer, turning their lives upside down and forcing Josh into a role he never expected: husband, caregiver, and advocate. After Kadi reached remission and they begin rebuilding their lives, a routine scan delivered devastating news—the cancer had returned. Her Battle Our Fight is a deeply personal story of love, caregiving, and what it truly means to stand beside someone when the outcome is no longer guaranteed. The book is coming soon to Amazon in both eBook and paperback editions. The paperback will also able to be available to order through Barnes & Noble, Walmart, and other bookstores.
Our Story
Everything changed after Kadi's cancer diagnosis. I went from being her husband to also being her advocate, her caregiver, and the person trying to hold our life together while she fought for hers. We navigated appointments, treatments, and impossible decisions, all while money grew tight and the weight of it all pressed down on both of us in different ways. Kadi has faced every stage of this with a kind of defiance I don't think I could have found in myself. I've tried to match it by simply refusing to let her face any of it alone. We've been through remission, and we've been through recurrence. We've celebrated scans that came back clear, and we've sat in rooms hearing news we hoped we'd never hear again. Through all of it, one thing hasn't changed: we're still here, and we're still fighting — together.I shared our story because I know we're not the only ones living this. If you're a caregiver, a spouse, or someone standing beside a person you love through something this hard, I hope our experience makes you feel a little less alone.Kadi's battle isn't over. Below, you can follow her ongoing journey and see how you can help.

The Caregiver's Voice
I know you're tired. I know there are days when you wake up already carrying the weight of everything that needs to be done. The appointments, the medications, the questions, the bills, and all the things that no one else may ever see. You spend so much time making sure the person you love is okay that you can forget you're living through this, as well. You keep everything moving because it has to keep moving. You sit beside the person you love, listen to the doctors, wait for the test results, and then go home and try to make tomorrow possible. Please remember that you're allowed to need something, too. You're allowed to rest without feeling guilty. You're allowed to accept help, to laugh, to leave the house, or to have a few hours that belong only to you. Those things don't make you love the person you're caring for any less. You have a place in this story. You are part of it. And even when no one sees everything you have carried, it matters. You matter.
Speaking From Experience
I'm not a doctor, therapist, or professional caregiver. I'm a husband who found himself in a role I never expected and had to learn how to navigate it in real time. What I've learned about caregiving didn't come from a classroom or a textbook. It came from hospital rooms, difficult conversations, medical appointments, financial pressures, and the everyday reality of caring for someone I love.I speak about the parts of caregiving that are rarely taught: advocating for a loved one, navigating the healthcare system, balancing marriage and caregiving, dealing with financial strain, supporting someone through difficult treatments, and finding the strength to keep showing up when you don't know what tomorrow will bring.
